Mr Big Music 2010: Bigger, Badder

As supergroups go, Mr. Big music might not be on your radar like Audioslave or Chickenfoot, sbobetbut the big melodies of `91's 'To Be With You' might ring a bell, as might the mind-melting guitars and vocals of 'Addicted to That Rush'. Bringing back uber-guitarist, Paul Gilbert; bassist extraordinaire, Billy Sheehan, golden-throated singer, Eric Martin and drummer, sbobet เข้าไม่ได้ Pat Torpey; melodic hard-rock is back and as heavy and creative and ever. But even if you're still drawing a blank, check out 'Undertow' and Mr. Big's latest music video from the brand new 'What If..' CD, or the super-sonic 'Around the World'. This is, in my opinion, how rock/metal should be made: by guys who can actually play and sing. What really sets Mr. Big apart is that while each player could lay waste to a small city with an abundance of musical chops and thousand-mile-an-hour craziness, this band rarely compromises the good of the song for self-absorbed overplaying. And really, as big a footprint as Billy Sheehansbobet เล่น ไม่ ได้ (uber-bassist) and Paul Gilbert (guitar mad genius) leave, the biggest draw here is Eric Martin's vocals, which have actually gotten better with age. Martin has always been a soulful singer in an age when singers seemed to be in some sort of Olympic competition for the highest notes possible, so his emotive-but-sky-high singing has the right balance of heart and firepower. Now, the real question is, 'what if' we got back to music that required massive melodies and crazy chops on the part of the players to really succeed. We can hope! Mr. Big music is definitely back and on the right track. If you like the big 80s sounds of Mr. Big, you'll love this free track by Pickett!
